metal heaven.

Fuck.
Speechless.
Awesome mixing/mastering. The vocals were a fucking blast. There is nothing to say about them. Perfectly mixed into the track.
Loved how the bass followed the kick's rhyhtm while the guitars played something different at the main riff... Pure awesomeness.
This is like Nevermore on crack with a brutal vocalist.
Fucking 5ed.

Devastus responds:

Thanks dude, I personally utterly love the outcome of this song aswell, I didn't really expect it to be like this when I first started out with it :P

MMmm....

I usually hit the back button as fast as possible once I hear synthetic guitars...
But this was by far the best synth guitar song I've heard in months. The riffs and melodies were pretty cool, the drums were well placed together.
9/10

netty-swobb responds:

:D I have worked hard on getting a good sounding synth guitar, i finally have it after a year of hard work :D:D!!
Thanks!

.................

Sick.
Sick song.
I hate giving reviews with no critique, but there is really not anything to criticize.
Awesome.

Eternalreich responds:

Metal. You fucking rule! Good to have your support!

Sorry I didn't review this earlier...

I've just been terrible busy teaching myself javascript/html to build my website lol
Wicked song. Farcry did a cool job, the choir thing going on is pretty awesomez.
You're right, you put a lot more variety in your vocal style in here. Great quality and sound, your vocals are the bomb. The lyrics are a little stereotypical, but it totally fits to the song, so no worries there. The fading out/in of die was a cool idea. digged that a lot! The only thing missing in my eyes is a single fucking DEEP grind that sums up all the repeating of ' let it come forth' at 2:50ish... Well at least , i would have put one in there... :D
AWESOMEZ

5ed.

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

yeah i totally agree... fc's work with the choir synth was top-notch... i would say, rivalling anything you would hear from some of the black/symphonic metal bands at the top of their game. It basically accounts for all the dimmu & cradle references, i think.

ha, glad you liked the "DIE Die die"... thing... i love that sort of shit. I'm really still learning the ropes with all the tricks, but it's fun to do.

Grrrr... fucking deep grinds... i'm starting to wonder if it's even in my repertoire. If I need to go much deeper, I'll have to use a pitch shifter, which i'm morally against. Or I used to be... hmmm, dunno... it's a bit like the issue with "inhalation vocals" I remember you getting angry about... not the real deal!

Cheers for the review, dude!

Damn...

Crucified really gets those old school metal vocals down... that damn vibrato in his voice... pure awesomeness. You 2 are beasts together. Dug the last tune, this one is better. 'staaaanding... broken...'.. my favorite part... love it
sorry for this weird review, its like 3 am, just came back from a bar, had a lot of beers and whisky. lol
Turned your song up on my big speakers, was letting my evening cling out to your song. :D

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

I mix them. Beer and whisky. Most of the time, I just throw a shot in my bottle. That is when I'm in the mood. haha.

Anyways, glad you dig it, metal brother. Definitely got more in the works. Thanks again, for the review, homie.\m/

Mother... FUCK!

Meshuggah is the shit. They are a godlike band haha
This song is awesome, going right to my favs. Awesome riffage AND vocals. nice job on this one...
Odd time signatures + me + guitar = frustration.
Odd time signatures + me + vocals = damnation.
It's so fucking hard to write lyrics over odd sigs.. good job dude!

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

oh, it was so fucking hard! about 1/4 of the way through i was almost ready to chuck it in... give up... and start doing collabs in the Pop category!!! i just stuck to it man... i knew it was going to sound mega-bad if i just found the right words to fit the syllable/rhythm structure.

yes! meshuggah are right up there for me... so chaotic yet hypnotic.

cheers for the awesome review!

Man...

haven't heard this kind of old school metal in a while. VERY cool. Pantera lives on I see.... Except for your vocalist, he sounds different :-)
Cool song, good mix, can't really say anything negative.
5ed.

DukeAholibamah responds:

Thanks! Great review, we've now been compared to Slash and Pantera and...ahem *coughjustintimberlakecough* in the last 4 reviews. No complaints from us...lots of 10's!

MMmmm...

Guitars were way too loud, they were clipping all over. Turn them down a LOT, and turn those drums way UP, i can hardly hear em...
Song was pretty cool though. The guitar tone was a bit grungy, but sounded nice.
Cool :D

parlormonkey responds:

thanks for the advice i may re-record this song with your advice

MMMmmmm...

I don't listen to any form of punk anymore, i sort of slid into the metal genre :P. I had my phase when I listened to a lot of skate punk, and this song totally reminded me of NOFX. Especially the part at 0:25. Very kool.
Quality of recording is great, the song is short, just like a punk song should be. As I've said, I haven't listened to this genre in quite a while, and I've been recording so much metal that it's interesting to hear that the basics are very similar... Rhythm guit panned left and right, leads centered... :D
I noticed that your guitar was a little out of tune at exactly 1:27, but that's just a minor glitch.
great song,
5ed.

Evil-Dog responds:

Hmmm good ear! I think that's just the FX though, but it's very possible, I went on the high notes on the neck for this little chord and my old guitar isn't the best tuned baby in the world :D
Thanks for the good review!

Mmmm....

The flanger / phaser whatever the fuck it is your using over the guitars is really ruining it.
The guitars: im guessing 2 things. You're using a distortion and going directly line in, and your guitars are clipping.
Easy ways to fix this: turn the recording volume down. Get an impulse loader. It's a simple VST that loads impulses from famous amps, and emulates these. This will take away that annoying fuzz in the guitar.
Another great tip for great sounding metal guitars:
Record the rhythm guitar twice, pan one recording HARD to the left, the other HARD to the right.. try it out.
:D

3piecejimmy responds:

Dude. Much thanks. ur info proved way more than helpful. thank u. :)
